BR3: Les misérables

It is the year 1796, and the people of France are hungry.(P.1)




I watched this movie about 4 years ago, so I wanted to read this book.
I thought that Jean Valjean was a very kind and nice man, because he took a lot of bread but they were for his sister and her seven children. After he escaped from the prison, he became a mayor. He met a woman and he brought up her daughter, Cosette. In the end, he died, near Cosette and her husband. I thought he had a hard life but he was happy because he and Cosette could bacome like a real family.
